The fire at the Ross store at Roseville Square was first reported just before 11 a.m. and quickly went to multiple alarms.
Units from the Roseville, Sacramento Metro, South Placer and Rocklin fire departments responded, as well as crews from other surrounding communities.
"We have at least 10 fire engines and two ladder trucks on scene and we have no reported injuries at this point," Roseville Fire Department spokesman Dennis Mathisen said.
Authorities said the blaze began in the rear of the store and was contained to the Ross store.
Tim Ballard, who said he was working on the lights inside the store when the fire broke out, told KCRA 3 that he suspected sparks from welders working behind the store may have ignited cardboard in the back of the building.
Authorities later confirmed that welders were working behind the store when the fire started and that they likely sparked the blaze. The welders were from the company Handyman Matters, which contracts with Ross.
Fire officials also said that the store was built before sprinklers were required and did not have a fire sprinkler system. Authorities credited a fire wall between the Ross store and the rest of the shopping center with keeping the fire from spreading to other businesses.
The Roseville Police Department shut down Harding Boulevard between Douglas Boulevard and Lead Hill Road and the California Highway Patrol shut down the westbound Douglas Boulevard exit from Interstate 80 to keep traffic out of the area.

Stefanie herself: Born severly handicapped and unable to talk, walk or care for herself, has changed more lives than the mightiest speaker. When she smiles - she lights up a room and makes you smile to the depth of your soul. When she raises an eyebrow to say yes, it makes you appreciate the words you have been able to speak in kindness and regret those you say in hate. When you begin to complain about having to do mundain chores, you remember Stefanie and thousand like her who would gladly be able to jump up and do them for you.

A BEST FRIEND
A best friend
is always there,
whether you need advice,
or a pep talk,
or even a shoulder to cry on.
A best friend
listens with her heart
and is always honest with you,
even though the truth
may not be
what you want to hear.
A best friend
knows all your secrets,
understands your fears
shares your dreams.
A best friend
never stops believing in you
even if you give up
on yourself.
you are
that kind of friend
to me.
And no matter what happens,
you always will be.
You are my best friend....
my forever friend.
is always there,
whether you need advice,
or a pep talk,
or even a shoulder to cry on.
A best friend
listens with her heart
and is always honest with you,
even though the truth
may not be
what you want to hear.
A best friend
knows all your secrets,
understands your fears
shares your dreams.
A best friend
never stops believing in you
even if you give up
on yourself.
you are
that kind of friend
to me.
And no matter what happens,
you always will be.
You are my best friend....
my forever friend.

The History of Point Reyes National Seashore

he cultural history of Point Reyes reaches back some 5,000 years to the Coast Miwok Indians who were the first human inhabitants of the Peninsula. Over 120 known village sites exist within the park. According to many experts, Sir Francis Drake landed here in 1579, the first European to do so. In response to the many shipwrecks in the treacherous coastal waters, key lighthouse and lifesaving stations were established by the United States Government in the late 1800s and early 1900s. In the early 1800s, Mexican land grantees established ranchos. They were followed by a wave of American agricultural operations, which continue to this day in the Seashore's pastoral zone.
